A future version of Double Dragon Deluxe will make use of Direct3d, which will enable all sorts of effects.

It's a very good effort. Unfortunately there are some bugs (ie the enemies disappeared after 15' of game and i couldn't see who's beating me) ... Keep on with the good work! I'm sure you 're gonna fix it and make us so happy, refreshing our age of innocence! :)

Graphics are loaded by a separate background thread. Until the graphics for an animation is loaded the game does not display the particular animation. This is nice because the game does not freeze when a new graphic for animation is required.
You may have ALT-TAB'ed out of the game into windows and back to the game. This requires the program to reload all the graphics previously loaded on the device.
Unfortunately a muddle up in the background thread does not reload all the graphics, hence invisible enemies becomes a reality!
This problem will automatically be fixed when moving the Direct3d sublayer from Dragon Siege into Double Dragon Deluxe.
